Yes, the belly is growing! I'm so glad to be feeling better. My appetite is back! (that is putting it mildly:) ) We are counting down the days until Oct. 5 when we have our next ultrasound. Hopefully, the baby will cooperate and we can find out the gender and I'm praying that all looks good with me and baby. Please keep us in your prayers, I am very nervous about it.
Now, for a little information on the baby:
Baby's now the size of a sweet potato!
Head to rump, your baby is about 5 1/2 inches long and he weighs almost 7 ounces. He's busy flexing his arms and legs — movements that you'll start noticing more and more in the weeks ahead. His blood vessels are visible through his thin skin, and his ears are now in their final position, although they're still standing out from his head a bit. A protective covering of myelin is beginning to form around his nerves, a process that will continue for a year after he's born. If you're having a girl, her uterus and fallopian tubes are formed and in place. If you're having a boy, his genitals are noticeable now, but he may hide them from you during an ultrasound.
And of course, my little Princess- who insists that she join in on the picture taking. She is growing up so fast!

Potty Time
We are still in potty training mode at our house. Audrey is doing pretty good. It is taking much longer than I anticipated...slowly but surely. She does fine when we remind her to go every so often, but she will not tell us when she feels the need to go. We've bought the "big girl" panties, bribed with candy, stickers, DVDs, etc. You know...all the stuff those books say. I figure one day she will just up and surprise us. But, she is doing great and so proud of herself when she does use the potty.
On that note...how about a little comedy while you potty? Why, wearing panties on your head is the "in" thing to do, right?
Corey showed these photos to me as I was eating the other night and I nearly spit my mouth full of food all across the table. They were too cute not to share.
P.S.- You can bet I will save these to show off to any future boyfriend prospects. haha!

Our Little Princess
Taking photos hasn't been high on my priority list lately. You know, having 'all-day' sickness and chasing a 2 year old around (on top of working and taking care of the house), doesn't leave much time for that. Since I've been feeling a little better, I decided to let Audrey dress-up and head out into our back yard for a little photo session. (And when I say little- I mean it...she gave me about 5 minutes to do the shots and then she'd had enough).
Anyway...this is our little Princess doing her thing...

Remember when?....
Audrey spent several days at my parents house getting spoiled. I went down over the weekend to pick her up. As I've mentioned before, Audrey loves "dressing up". Apparently my mother decided to dig up some 'artifacts' from my childhood and let Audrey play dress-up with them.
This dress is one that I wore in a wedding when I was 2 and the crown was one of my homecoming queen crowns when I was around 7. The really interesting part is that when I look at these pictures, it is like looking at a "mini-me" from back then.
Some of my family members may can recall those days...and that dress.

16 Weeks
I received a great report at the doctor today for my routine 16 weeks check-up. I had gained one pound (woohoo!) so the doctor was pleased since I had been losing weight up to this point. Now that the "all day" sickness is gone I can actually look at food without turning green.
The heart rate was 163 and you could hear the baby kicking and moving the entire time she was trying to get a reading. I haven't really felt any movement yet, but the doctor assures me it will be soon. My blood pressure was great too. Praise the Lord.
I go back on Oct. 5 for the "big" ultrasound and we will pray that he/she is just perfect and that he/she will cooperate so we will know if the baby is a he or a she :). Your prayers are appreciated. I am so blessed to have so many prayer warriors.
Here is some info on the baby's development that I get each week from a website update:
Watch what you say...tiny bones forming in baby's ears mean she can now pick up your voice. A few more minuscule changes: Eyebrows, lashes, and hair are starting to fill in, and taste buds are forming.
Get ready for a growth spurt. In the next few weeks, your baby will double his weight and add inches to his length. Right now, he's about the size of an avocado: 4 1/2 inches long (head to rump) and 3 1/2 ounces. His legs are much more developed, his head is more erect than it has been, and his eyes have moved closer to the front of his head. His ears are close to their final position, too. The patterning of his scalp has begun, though his locks aren't recognizable yet. He's even started growing toenails. And there's a lot happening inside as well. For example, his heart is now pumping about 25 quarts of blood each day, and this amount will continue to increase as your baby continues to develop.
I beg to differ...I feel like this baby is quite bigger than an avocado (*sigh*).
This is me with my little lovebug before I went to my appointment:
I could just squeeze her to pieces!
