Valentine's Day

We had a delightful Valentine's Day yesterday. My amazing husband made us breakfast and look how cute...heart pancakes :) (aaawwwww....)

We spent the day together as a family with ample time for snuggling. Then we enjoyed a steak dinner (we called it in and picked it up---that is much easier with a little one and I despise large crowds and waiting forever). I am one blessed lady!!!

Daddy's Girl

This little girl LOVES her daddy, as you can tell by these photos. She really thinks it is great when he lets her dress up in his fire department gear. I thought she was so adorable doing this.

Catching up

This week has been so busy that I have neglected my poor little blog. We've been busy in a good sort of way, but still resulted in no blog time.

Last weekend, Audrey and I went to my parent's home to spend a couple of days. We had a wonderful time of fellowship with the family.

Saturday we went to watch my brother, Keith and a friend of his weigh in their fish at a tournament. (Keith is all into the fishing tournament thing). They came in 2nd place. (every time Audrey and I attend one of his weigh-ins he walks away with money...we should get a percentage of that for bringing the luck...don't ya think???)

We took advantage of the gorgeous day by going to the park for a picnic and taking some photos of AK. We followed that up by visiting my grandparents, bringing Blizzards from Dairy Queen for everyone. Audrey spent time petting the cows (yes, we are starting our little country girl out early), picking flowers and entertaining Nana and Pawpaw.

Sunday afternoon, after church and a visit to the nursing home, we indulged in another delicious picnic with the family. The weather was beautiful once again. Soon after stuffing our bellies, we had to load up and come back home. Both of us enjoyed the time spent with our loved ones.

Yes, Grammy would be the one who gave AK all this sugar...cookies, cupcake...and just look at that mess. But she did have fun :)

Wordless Wednesday

Silence!!!

Silence?! That's right folks. I am sitting here in my warm sweats, and the only sound I hear is the hum of my computer. Corey is at work tonight and Audrey is spending the night with her grandparents.

I'm not accustomed to being alone anymore and I certainly miss my little one...but I've made good use of my free time. Doing what?? well...shopping of course. I hit the thrift store in Alabaster, then purchased some jeans from Old Navy (had to find some that would fit...hitting 30 does bad things to the hips/thighs), dropped by Books-a-Million for the latest Karen Kingsbury book (hooray!), browsed through Hobby Lobby and racked up on some things for AK's birthday party- 1/2 price (just couldn't pass that up), and now I am back home for a little R and R. That hot bubble bath and book are calling my name...and if I am lucky I'll catch up on a little sleep. ;) Ahhhhh.....silence!
