The "Real" Visit with Santa

After our terrible experience with Addison visiting Santa a couple of weeks ago, I was very apprehensive about the "real" visit with Santa. You know, the one where I dress them up real cute and try to get a precious photo.

Well, I found out that I had every reason to worry!

The girls had donned their cute, Christmas attire and they were pumped to go see Santa (aka-Ho-Ho). Then we walked up to him.

Audrey jumped right up on his lap and Addison began screaming "No, Mama, No, Mama" while climbing all the way up my body to my head. Not exactly working like I wanted it to.

Then sweet Santa suggested that we just make it a family photo. PERFECT! Addison sat on my lap and waved at Santa. Corey scooted in on the other side. And Audrey shared with Santa her wish list along with Addison's wish list.

I do believe our picture turned out just PERFECT, for me anyway :)

Then the girls wanted to ride the North Pole Express. Audrey loved it; Addison wasn't so sure about it.

We followed that with a delicious lunch and some Cookie Co. Cookies (YUM!). Of course we had to get in a little shopping.

Before heading home the girls concluded our trip with a few spins on the boats and planes.

It was a wonderful family day full of fun and many memories.

1st Visit with Santa

While visiting my parents one weekend, we went to Bass Pro Shop- which is Audrey's favorite place to go. haha. We didn't realize that Santa was there until we arrived so the girls weren't dressed to take "official" photos with Santa, but they wanted to visit with him anyway.

As you can tell by the photos...Audrey loved talking to Santa and telling him her wish list...Addison, not so much. She was NOT a happy girl.

Here Comes Santa Claus...

Santa Claus actually came to our house a little early...on Christmas Eve morning, since Corey was going to be working at the fire station on Christmas day.

Santa has been to visit!!

The girls had no clue that Santa had been informed to arrive early until they awoke that morning to a pile of gifts!

Audrey was so surprised!! Addison wasn't quite sure what to make of all of it. I think she was still partially asleep. When she realized that there were toys, she perked right up.

Audrey got a Dora book.

Addison got a musical train.

Addison also got a cookie jar shape sorter.

Santa wrapped all the gifts because he knew how much Audrey liked unwrapping them.

Gotta love the bed-head!

This cutie was even ripping into her gifts.
Audrey finally got her much desired PINK hula-hoop. Yep, Santa had to work his magic to find a PINK hula-hoop. Who would've thought they would've been so scarce at the North Pole?!?

Audrey was thrilled that this My Little Pony Ferris Wheel was in her stash!

And can you tell that she LOVED the "singing Barbie". She had been wanting one of those so badly.

Addison checked out her bag of clothes. What she really wanted to do was eat the tissue paper.

And Audrey received cute clothes, too!

I had to take a picture of these because they were just the sweetest things. Audrey took some of her prized possessions from her toys and wrapped them in blankets as "gifts" and placed them under the tree for the rest of us to open. She did this all by herself. What a sweet heart! It makes me tear up just looking at the picture.

Now back to a little bouncy fun!

Our 2 best gifts ever in front of the tree. Aren't they adorable!

Audrey visits Santa

She was ready. She was pumped and excited. That is until Santa made his grand entrance with a loud “HO-HO-HO”…then Audrey turned to me and said “I not sit on Santa’s lap.

Oh dear! I looked at Corey and told him that waiting in line may have been a waste of time. So we talked to Audrey about how Santa wouldn’t know what to bring her unless she went up and told him. I had already decided that I wouldn’t “make” her sit in Santa’s lap if she was terrified, but I was going to do my best to talk her into it.

After a little bribery (cookies and a Santa Express train ride) and watching a few big girls sit in Santa’s lap ahead of us, Audrey got brave and marched on up there.

With a cautious look, she did sit in his lap and actually talked to him. I was very surprised! Thank goodness we listened to what she said to Santa because she informed him that she wanted a horse (gee—she didn’t tell Mommy and Daddy that one!).

We got a cute picture to cherish forever and Audrey got to ride the train and indulge in a few chocolate chip cookies from The Cookie Company.

Here Comes Santa Claus...

I was seriously doubtful that we would get this little beauty to sit upon the knee of the "big man in red"...but she did it!!! Santa was so kind and loving toward her. She was a little skeptical at first, but warmed up to his gentleness. And he even knew she wanted a baby doll and a pink 4-wheeler. I hope those are under the tree for her ;)

And on the same day we took some family photos. Audrey was a trooper through it all.

(That is Corey's hand she is holding---ahhh melt my heart!)

I'm saving the rest of the photos so the family will be suprised...but I will post them later.
