Is There a Doctor in the House?

Addison was still recuperating from Hand, Foot and Mouth disease. So Doctor Audrey decided to take good care of her. Addison is in the baby crib and Audrey made sure she had her babies, blankets and used her "doctor" tools to make her feel better.

Such a cute moment.

15 Years From Now...

...this is what I get to look forward to!

And what is so scary...is that time will be here before I know it.

Best Buddies

Well, they may not be "BEST" buddies, yet, but they are learning to love each other. Addison is finally warming up to Boots. I guess it helps when he allows them to do pretty much anything to him. Even cover him up with sand.

He was even quite the hero the other day, too. We have a steep hill behind our house. Addison got a little too far out in the backyard and began tumbling down the hill. I couldn't reach her fast enough but Boots ran down the hill quickly and grabbed her shirt with his mouth to stop her. Thank goodness!! Had she tumbled much farther, she probably would've suffered more serious injuries other than the few bumps and scrapes she got.

Now if we could just get Boots to stop jumping and chewing on everything!

Gettin' Down and Dirty

The other day I was reading a blog post from one of my favorite blogs- Simple Mom. The post was about letting your kids get dirty. I've always been glad that my girls weren't afraid to get a little dirt on their hands. Growing up a "country girl", I wouldn't know what to do with "prissy" girls.

So it makes me happy that they enjoy doing this...

And after reading Simple Mom's post...I see that getting dirty has so many benefits. Looks like we will continue to spend our days in the dirt!

Bumping Up and Down in My Little Red Wagon

Since Addison is TERRIFIED of Boots (our new dog), the only way to get to go outside with her is to put her in the little red wagon and make sure Boots doesn't come ANYWHERE NEAR her.

Here she is keeping the ball away from Boots. (Now, he is about 15 yards away when this photo was taken)

Telling me it is a "ba"

I just can't get enough of that precious smile and beautiful blue eyes!

Park Play with the Family

I have so much catching up to do with my blog posts...so I am going to be back tracking a bit.

A few weeks ago, the girls and I went back to visit with my family. While we were in town we went to the park to enjoy some playtime and sunshine. We took Grammy, Nana, Granddaddy and Uncle Keith with us.

Addison and Nana

Granddaddy and Addison

Both girls LOVED this little bridge. It is made of conveyor belt type material and it seems "bouncy" when they jump on it. They spent a lot of time bouncing and running across it.

This cracked me up! Addison couldn't get enough of this little contraption. She would hold on for dear life and laugh out loud the entire time. Notice the open mouth. You can almost hear her laughter.

And certainly Audrey had to play a little "hide and seek".

And Addison was "Just a Swangin'".

Then Audrey did a little clowning around...

...and roaring like a lion.

Nana with Audrey and Addison

Before we left, we walked around the pond and spotted this adorable family...

One kind lady shared some bread with Audrey so she could feed them.

We had such a wonderful day and made so many beautiful memories.

Park Playtime

We are loving this wonderful spring weather!

What better way to enjoy it than spending a day with the family at the playground.

Addison has come to love the slide. She wants to slide over and over again.

Audrey is becoming fearless on the playground. She is like a monkey and getting really good at the monkey bars and such. (This makes me so nervous when she does this...I broke my arm doing this very same activity when I was 5 years old. I always get a knot in my stomach when I see her doing this.)

Recently, she has mastered walking on these swinging steps.

We had such a fun time together!

Ride, Addison, Ride

This sweet girl loves to ride in her wagon.

Eating on the waist strap is always a good idea.

Since the weather has been so pleasant lately, we've taken advantage and spent a lot of time outside.

And that adorable pink hat can really give someone a bad hair day!

Wanna ride?

Little Cooks

These two little girls LOVE to "cook" at their play kitchen. Well, Audrey "cooks" and Addison loves chewing on all of the play food and banging all the dishes. They spend a lot of time together at their kitchen. I just love watching them play together.

(Excuse the pjs in the middle of the day...it was one of our lazy days where we just played all day :) )

We call this particular spoon the "spitty spoon". It is a flexible toddler spoon that she loves to chew on. Usually it is covered in slobber...hence the name "spitty spoon". You have to be cautious because she loves to share the spoon with you, which means you get lots of spitty along with it.

Isn't this the most adorable apron?! Audrey decided that Addison needed to wear it if she was going to help her cook.

Finally...a Beautiful Day!

We've finally had a reprieve from all the cold, windy, rainy, winter weather...thank goodness! So we decided to take advantage of the beautiful day and take the girls to the park.

All of us enjoyed the sunshine, fun and laughter.

Addison thought she was a big girl sliding down the slide.

Sisters had fun swinging together!

Audrey got brave and with the help of Daddy, slid down the fireman's pole.

Sweet Addison, soaking up the sun while swinging and sucking on her paci.

Higher, Daddy!!!

This was the funniest part. We would sit Addison on the bottom of the slide and she would try her best to crawl up. She never could get anywhere, just crawling in place. Never giving up, though. We called it the baby treadmill. Corey and I got good laughs out of it.

Such a fun, beautiful, happy day!

Magnet Madness

She loves spending the majority of her days like this...

Playing with the magnets (given to Audrey for Christmas) on the refrigerator.
I'm so glad she can entertain herself...but it makes me so nervous when she attempts to stand up with those slippery footed pjs on the tile.
Obviously, it doesn't bother her one bit! :)

How Does It Work?

I love watching their inquisitive minds at work.

And it certainly helps that it keeps them entertained for quite some time. :)
