Miracle in the Making

I have been following this lady's blog for several weeks now. She has 3 children under 3 1/3 yrs. old (yep, she's already my hero) and is expecting her 4th baby, Stellan. A few weeks ago doctors found that Stellan has a severe heart condition and at that point the mother was told he would not even survive until delivery. Well, God is working a miracle in this life. Please hop on over to her blog and read this amazing story . Send her lots of love and prayers. She and Baby Stellan still need them. A picture of this family is found on the right side of my page. Just scroll down a little and if you click there it will take you to her blog. Or you can go to the address below. I just get chills reading her blog everyday---What a MIGHTY God we serve!

Attacked!

As I mentioned in my previous post...Audrey enjoys digging in the clothes hamper. Well--it took revenge on her.

I was in the next room and heard crying. When I walk in the door, this is what I see. During her "invasion" of the dirty clothes hamper she flipped it on top of her and couldn't get out. And yes, I did rescue her...but only after grabbing the camera to catch a few shots of this and wiping the tears from my cheeks.

Is this how you wear it?

My little chick-a-dee finds digging through the clothes hamper intriguing. Thank goodness we didn't have company over when she came prancing out of our bedroom wearing this. All I could do is laugh and grab the camera.

OK---so its a little embarrassing to be posting pictures of my bra here on the blog...but it is just too funny not to share.

Workin' at the Car Wash...

Miss AK "helped" me wash my car. Notice the quotation marks because she basically played with the water hose- of course splashing mud back onto my nice, shiny car...which meant another scrubbing. But I was enjoying the moment. I got lots of laughs and she wore herself out (which meant sleeping all night !!! YEA!!).
And if you know me, I just had to document the glorious afternoon with some pictures. As I was snapping away-- I was reminded of a fun evening a couple of years ago when I was still teaching at WES. Those of you familiar with that know of the "Faculty Follies" event held each year. Brief description- teachers/faculty get on stage in front of several hundred folks and make complete FOOLS of themselves to raise money for our school. (Yep, desperate measures) Anyway, my teacher friends and I performed to the song "Car Wash". This is a shout out to all my friends at WES---especially Anna, Elisha, and Carrie. Love & Miss ya'll!!! I do cherish those memories. Just to leave you with the song in in your head...

Car Wash by: Rose Royce
Ooh ooh You might not ever get rich
But let me tell ya it's better than diggin' a ditch
There ain't no tellin' who you might meet
A movie star or maybe even an Indian chief
(Workin') At the car wash , Workin' at the car wash,
Come on and sing it with me (Car wash)

Ooh! Some of the work gets kinda hard
This ain't no place to be if you planned on bein' a star
Let me tell you it's always cool
And the boss don't mind sometimes if you act the fool

Prayers...God's Miracle

I have been following this story for a while now and felt compelled to share with you. This beautiful, young mother suffered an earth-shattering stroke back in April She is in her 20's and has made a tremendous come-back. However, she still has a long way to go for full restoration. Many of you may have heard her story. Please visit her site for the complete story as well as her mother's blog...and send up many prayers on her behalf. You will be amazed at God's miracle in progress.

Mmmm...Good!

Mmmm...Good!- must've been going through her mind. Audrey is learning to "eat" with a spoon and fork (Gosh--VERY messy!). My dad makes delicious spaghetti sauce and was kind enough to send some back home with us. AK really enjoyed her supper! How can you not laugh when you see that face :)

Audrey's First Boat Ride

I was a little concerned about putting Miss Priss on the boat for the first time. She isn't really scared of much, but I knew the life jacket would be an issue. BUT...I was wrong. This little ham was living it up on the boat. Grammy, Granddaddy and Aunt Carolyn came along for the ride. Thanks Johnny, for letting us use your boat! We had a great time...see for yourself-

WEEEEEEE!!!!!!!!

This is FUN!!

Cool hair do.

I can drive this thing, too.
