Addison- 8 months old

(And I finally get it posted....just before she turns 9 months--haha)

Sweet Addison: I want to be able to remember exactly what you were like at 8 months old...

You:
* weigh 18 pounds
* are 27 1/4 inches long
* wear size 3 diapers
* wear size 6-9 month clothes
* are still belly crawling. I don't think you will ever crawl the "right" way. You seem to think it is much easier and faster the way you do it.
* always want the toys that your sister is playing with, no matter how many times she gives you what she has and moves on to a new toy.
* are crawling into every room. I am constantly chasing you down and moving you to a "safer" place.
* get so angry and try to bite us when we have to take away a forbidden item or move you away from something. Yes, you are getting in a lot of trouble by doing that!
* cut your top front 2 teeth
* went to the beach for the first time. You loved smashing the sand castles and eating the sand.
* went to the pumpkin patch for the first time and had a blast.
* had your first Halloween. You were an adorable lamb.

We love you so much sweet girl!

Halloween 2010

I'm finally getting around to putting up the Halloween photos.

I made these tutus for the girls just because I thought they would be cute and wanted some pictures with them.

As you can tell, "Doggie" has to go EVERYWHERE with Audrey.

And here is a picture of my little "pumpkin".

This was Addison's Halloween costume. She was my little lamb. Isn't she just the cutest?! She even wore that on her head the entire night. Can you believe it?

Audrey was our beautiful butterfly. She was so proud of her costume. Isn't she just beautiful?! And growing up so quickly :/

My sweet girls in their costumes. I can't tell you how many pictures I had to take to get both girls looking at me and smiling.

Instead of the standard "Trick or Treating", we took the girls to a Fall Festival that Audrey's preschool/church was hosting.

It was so much fun. The girls loved it!

Audrey enjoyed a little cotton candy.

Seriously?!? What is Halloween without a sugar high? And you gotta love that sticky face :)

Addison was content riding around in the stroller and watching all the action.

Audrey ready to have some fun.

Butterfly turned Cowgirl. She had a blast riding the pony.

Digging for worms is always interesting.

Audrey's trying to win some candy at the ring toss.
That little duckie got Audrey even more candy.

Then she tried her hand at ringing the buckets.

She caught a winner at the "Go Fish".

Working on those golfing skills. Her daddy will be so proud. ;)
They even had a ski-ball game. Audrey hasn't quite got the hang of that game yet. As you can see her little arm is swung back ready to throw. And throw, she did, and nailed that guy standing there right in the wrong place :/ Everyone around thought it was so funny, that poor guy didn't share those feelings...bless his heart.
Finally, Audrey got her face painted.
Not surprising, she wanted a butterfly.
Little Bit and Daddy.

Beach Trip (Part 2)

The next morning we woke up to another perfect day. It was a little windy, but there was no one on the beach and it was about 80 degrees and sunny. BEAUTIFUL!

Once again, we headed to the beach for more playing in the sand, building sand castles, finding shells, and walks on the beach...

Audrey is a daddy's girl.

Addison laughed and played...

...then crashed for nap time.

More sand castles in the works.

After a little catnap...Addison woke up ready to play some more.

And eat some more...

Audrey got a kick out of throwing the wet sand all over Corey.

Addison wasn't really fond of the crashing waves so we hung out under the tent and played in the sand while Corey and Audrey splashed and played in the water.

After the girls got tired of the sand, we headed back to the condo and enjoyed a swim in their heated pool. Addison didn't mind this water. Audrey was getting pretty brave in the water since she had swim lessons this summer.

Before dinner that night, we went back to the beach to take a few photos. We weren't able to get a picture of the 4 of us, because, there was no one on the beach to take it for us :(. At least we got something.

I'm so thankful that we were able to go on this vacation together. It was a wonderful, fun, relaxing time and we made many memories to cherish forever.

Beach Trip (Part I)

Last week we finally took a family vacation to the beach. This was our first trip as a family of 4.

When we scheduled our trip, little did we know that my grandfather would become extremely ill before we were set to depart. Although he was still sick, we decided along with the rest of my family to continue with our plans and take the girls to the beach.

Our destination was chosen because Audrey has been asking for months to go to the beach...and I'm so glad she wanted to go. Our trip was absolutely wonderful. Just perfect!!!

After a visit to the hospital to visit Pawpaw, we set out to Gulf Shores. On the drive down it rained, no that is an understatement...it STORMED most of the way down. It was raining so heavily that we were traveling about 15 miles per hour on the interstate! Talk about nerve-wrecking!!!

It was dinner time when we finally made it to the condo. We just threw everything in the condo and headed out to find some dinner. It was still storming :( Desoto's Seafood was where we chose to eat. This was our pick because of the location just a few blocks from the condo. Due to the storms, we didn't want to venture far. Boy did we make a good choice!! That place was delicious!!!

After we got our bellies full, we went back to the condo and crashed. I said a prayer that the weather would at least be somewhat decent in the morning because I had a 3 year old that desperately wanted to build sandcastles on the beach.

When I rolled out of bed the next morning, this is what I saw...

So I grabbed my sweet Audrey and headed outside...in our PJs. We left Addison and Corey at the condo and we just shared some mommy/daughter time walking down the beach, holding hands and talking. Memories I'll cherish forever.

After some breakfast and a quick change into our swimsuits, we hit the beach. I was a little concerned about how Addison would react to the sand. I didn't know if she would like it or hate it and pitch a fit...
...Obviously she loved it! Haha!

I couldn't keep her from putting it in her mouth...so I just gave up!
While Addison and I played in the sand, Corey and Audrey ventured into the water. She has a blast jumping in the waves. The water was a little chilly, but you got used to it after being in there for a few minutes. The only bad thing was that there was jellyfish EVERYWHERE!

Then we made many, many sandcastles. It basically went like this: Corey and I would build the sand castles. Audrey would fill her watering can with water and pour on top of the castle while Addison did a little demolition to it as soon as we finished.
