Addison- 3 months

Addison turned 3 months old on May 15. We "celebrated" her 3 month "birthday" by taking her to the zoo for the first time. :)

What is going on with Addison right now??

Addison :
- is still wearing a size 1 diaper, but as soon as we finish up this box she will be moving up to a size 2 to accommodate those chubby thighs.
- wears 3-6 month clothes
- smiles all the time
- is beginning to coo
- still hates tummy time
- is very aware when mommy leaves the room and when she is alone. Also she vocalizes her displeasure about that.
- tries so very hard to roll over. I am expecting it any day now.
- loves watching her big sister run around and play
- cries and fights sleep at night
- still sleeps pretty well at night (when she finally goes to sleep). Usually sleeps about 7 hours before waking to eat (Praise the Lord!)
- grabs EVERYTHING within reach- my hair, my shirt, fingers, toys...
- gets hiccups everyday
- loves playing with her hands
- always sucks on her fist or fingers
- adores her big sister. She always has an eye on her when she is playing.

This little girl has brought such joy to our lives. I love rocking her to sleep each night, breathing in that sweet scent of baby. Seeing that adorable smile just melts my heart! I certainly hope I can recall these days with clarity many years from now.

And since I couldn't decide on one or two favorites...here are several of her 3 month old photos- (and I'm just glad I got them posted before she turned 4 months. haha)

Zoo Trip

Grammy (my mom) and I took Audrey and Addison to Montgomery Zoo for a reward for Audrey's behavior the last several days. This was Addison's first trip to the zoo.

Although it was pretty toasty that day, we had a wonderful time. Audrey really enjoyed it. She even walked the entire time (we were there for 5 hours!).

Fantastic Fishing with the Family

As you have seen, Audrey can be the cutest little princess...but she isn't afraid of being a little "country" and getting dirty! This girl LOVES to fish. She even wants to watch it on TV when her daddy is home. (BORING! haha)

While we were visiting my family. They wanted to take Audrey fishing in one of our ponds at the farm. She was very entertained playing with the crickets.

But she also wet her hook and caught a few fish...with the help of Granddaddy.

And Uncle Keith had to get in on the action too. Please take notice of the little, BARBIE fishing pole that he is using. I bet the guys that he fishes all those tournaments with will be so proud of him. (I will save his pride and say that he posed for this photo just to make me happy...he was really helping Audrey---but I'm not gonna tell his buddies that! hahahah!)

See...proof he really was helping her ;)

And I even got in a little fishing time too. Yes, I used her Barbie pole. (It is actually a pretty lucky little pole) See...we caught a good mess of fish for us 2 girls. (By the way...Uncle Keith only caught 2- we had 10!)

For Aunt Carolyn...

...Your very own little princess :)

Audrey got this outfit and accessories from Aunt Carolyn, Jeanetta and Be`la for her 3rd birthday. She LOVES dressing up and twirling around the house. Depending on the day she is a "princess" or a "ballerina". I couldn't resist this photo op 'cause I think she is the most adorable 3 year old princess around! Aunt Carolyn, these are just for you :)

Spending Time with Family

As I mentioned in my earlier post, my Uncle Jim and Aunt Carol (McGriff) are home for a brief visit from the mission field in Guatemala. I am thrilled to have them home with us even if it is a short time. We miss them when they are gone and are always happy to have them back, but this time was even sweeter because they got to meet Addison for the first time. And, of course they got to love on Audrey too.

The past 2 weekends the girls and I have gone back to my parents so we could spend some time with all of my family. We were able to have quality time by having lunch together and making memories. I had to post these pictures because they make my heart smile. You can tell how much they love my girls. I am so blessed to have a family that loves my daughters so much.

Mother's Day 2010

I had a lovely Mother's Day. How could I not, when I have 2 wonderful, adorable little girls to love?!

Audrey, Addison and I spent several days back home with my family so we were there over Mother's Day weekend. It was great to get to spend time with my mom, grandmother and aunt (who is home for a short time from the mission field in Guatemala).

We all went to church together and then enjoyed a relaxing lunch with everyone at my aunt and uncle's house.

My girls and me on Mother's Day. I am so blessed!!!!

This is 4 generations: Nana (my grandmother), Grammy (my mom), Me, Audrey and Addison.
