We are still having fun this summer with our friends!

A few days later, we had to hit up CFA again for ice cream and play time on the playground.  These girls deserved that treat after sitting for hours in a meeting with mommy.  (and I'm beginning to realize how many times we had ice creams and popsicles this summer---oh well, making memories :)  )

 

We also met up with Zoe and Mrs. D for time at CHOM.  These girls had a blast.

They spent time driving the boat and fishing.

After working up an appetite, we had some lunch followed by dessert at Steel City Pops (I mean, we've got to have a popsicle again, right?!).

 

July Playdates with our Buddies

This summer we have been having so much fun! Almost every week we have been able to meet different friends for play dates.  The kids and adults have been enjoying these times together. We are very fortunate to have such great friends in our lives.

 

Our neighbor, Anna, moved to Georgia recently, but she was back for a visit.  So we took advantage of the few days she was in town to spend some time together.

 

The girls enjoyed some karaoke at CHOM.

Another day we met up with our buddies Sarah and Emily at CHOM.  Following that fun, we cooled off with some Steel City Pops.

 

A few days later we met up with those same buddies for some water fun at the splash pad.



These two precious girls have spent much time swimming and enjoying popsicles!

Tons of Summer Fun

This past school year we were blessed to become friends with this precious family.  Lydia was in class with Audrey and her mom is also a teacher at the Preschool. The girls became fast friends and their mom and I developed a friendship.  Another great thing is that they live just down the road from us. So we have enjoyed getting together for play dates this summer.

These are some cute kiddos right here!  And they get along so well.  We are truly blessed by these friendships! 

My 15-year Class Reunion

Last weekend, I had my 15-year high school class reunion.  It is hard to believe that 15 years has passed. I was so excited about getting together with my fabulous classmates, many of whom I had not seen since graduation.  Many of our classmates couldn't attend, but we still had a good turn-out.  It was so much fun seeing everyone again and meeting their spouses and children.

This was our classmates from the Holtville High School Class of 1997.  We also invited some of the people who didn't graduate with us, but went through many, many years of school with us.  They will always be part of our "family".

We had this awesome cake.  So cute!  The green/white and bulldog brought back so many memories.

 My best friend from high school, Summer Cripple.  Some friends you can be apart from for a long time, but when you see each other it is like time never passed.  It is like this with us.  We've been friends through the good, bad and ugly.  And we still love each other dearly.  I know I can always count on her.

Unfortunately, we lost 2 classmates much too young.  We had a memory table set up for them.

I had such a wonderful time visiting with my friends from high school.  I'm so glad that we were able to pull this reunion together.  I'm already looking forward to our next gathering. 

Playdate with Zoe Kate

This past weekend we met up with our friends, Mrs. D and Zoe Kate, for some fun at our local Children's Hands on Museum.  That is such a fun (and air conditioned- haha) place for the kids to play. My girls always have a great time there.  We have a membership and visit often. 

The kids made "fish bowls" with hand cutouts and decorated them at the art area.

Then the 3 musketeers had to pile up in the wooden wagon for some silliness.

Addison and Zoe Kate served up some wonderful "ice cream" for the rest to enjoy.

Audrey enjoyed her specially made sundae :) She was also in charge of taking orders and payments.

They spent their time doing other things, as well, but I was too busy playing with them or keeping up with them to take more photos. 

After a couple of hours at the museum we went across the street to Mellow Mushroom for a yummy lunch. 

We can't wait for another play date with our Partners-In-Crime again soon!

Splashing with Friends

Today we had a fun playdate with our friends, Ms. Abby, Evan, Emmett and our neighbor Mrs. Babs brought her granddaughter, Tabi over to play.  Everyone came to our house for the fun outing.

I made everyone Icee/Snow Cones (a 'must' on such a hot day).  Addison was enjoying her's in the shade.

And we blew bubbles.  Tabi was the queen of the bubbles.

Ball skills were practiced.  Emmett spent lots of time hitting and chasing the ball.  He was quite good!

Then there was lots of swinging and smiling!

The kiddos stayed cool running in the "carwash" that Corey created.  I think this was Evan's favorite thing to do.

You could always find a few monkeys hanging around on the swing set.

We had such a fun day!  I am looking forward to having everyone over again soon.  The adults enjoyed chatting in the shade while watching these sweet little ones enjoy summertime! 

Another bonus is that it wore the kids slap out so they took really good naps!! :)
