Addison~ 3 years old

My precious Addison...

3-years-old!! How can it be?  Was it really that long ago that I held your perfect little blue-eyed self for the first time?  I have no idea what we would do without you. You bring so much silliness and laughter to our lives.

You are outgoing, loving, silly, and full of mischievousness.
There is never a dull moment with you around.  You are fearless to try things yet won't watch Disney movies or other shows that have "mean people" in it because it scares you.
I love how you give us big squeezes and kisses. And you have to have your belly and back rubbed every night with "scratchy" on your beloved blankie before you can go to sleep. Yes, you are a little spoiled.

Here are some other things I want to remember about you:

* You wear a size 2T/3T clothes
*Weigh 27 pounds
*Are 36" tall
*Wear size 7 toddler shoe
*Are potty trained (except occasionally at night)
*Love to watch Barney, Max and Ruby, and any show that sings and dances (Wiggles, Sing-a-long)
*Enjoy playing outside and getting wet/dirty
*Do really well riding your tricycle and can even ride Audrey's bike

* Love your big sister and try to do everything she does
*Enjoy preschool (your friends are Ella Grace and Addi Belle)
*Love, love, love to sing and dance
* Always carry blankie, Care Bear, baby and Pep
*Don't like sodas (they are "spicy")
*Still like to snuggle
*Enjoy listening to books

There is so much about you that I hope I never forget. These pictures really capture your personality. The expressions you make are always so entertaining!

You, Little Bit, are a wonderful blessing to our family.  May you never forget how special you are to us!  I love you around to Jupiter and back!

Addison's 3rd Birthday Celebration

This precious child celebrated her birthday all week long!  She began to think that everyday was her birthday!  But birthday celebrations are so much fun!!

Continuing family tradition, Addison had her birthday muffin with a candle on top the morning of her birthday.  Can you tell she was excited??

Then Grammy came up to visit the next day to spend the weekend with us and help me with party preparations. Addison had cupcakes and another celebration with us.

She got to open one gift on her actual birthday.  It just isn't fair if you don't have SOMETHING to open on your big day.

She got Barney videos.  A whole lot excited, you think??

Then on Feb. 17 (2 days after her actual birthday) we had her big birthday blast.  This year she chose a Max & Ruby theme.  (Yep- this mommy's very least favorite tv show is the one my child loves the most- sigh!)

This year we kept it pretty simple with just one other child and a few family members and friends to join in our celebration. I do think it was the best decision ever because we were all able to visit and have so much fun.

We had "bunny food"

And Max's "worm cakes".  (This will make sense to you only if you have ever watched that "nails-on-a-chalkboard-kinda-annoying" tv show)

We included some "Ruby cakes"...

...and "bunny berries".

I printed out some Max & Ruby coloring sheets and bookmarks for the kids to decorate.

Sand buckets full of goodies for the take-home gifts.

The birthday girl, excited and ready to party!  And if you've been reading this blog long enough, you may remember that this is the same birthday outfit that Audrey wore for her 3rd birthday here.

The 3 musketeers!

A little balloon battle.  I think Addison may have been at a disadvantage since she was blindfolded! Haha!

Our family!  We love our Little Bit!

Ready to blow out her 3 candles.

Addison chose a "Max cake" and it was apparently good according to the evidence all over her face.

Silly girls!

Present time!!

The girls discovered a fun new "game".  They tied helium-filled balloons around their waists and ran all over the house.  They found that so entertaining.

What a fun birthday party!!  I loved celebrating my precious little girl with all of our wonderful friends and family.

Preschool Dress-Up Days

The preschool where the girls attend frequently have "dress-up" days, where they dress-up to match a theme.  Recently they had "Silly Hat Day"...

...and "Farm Day."

The girls love these dress-up days and I think they look so adorable.

Valentine's Day~ 2013

The girls woke up Valentine's day morning to find goodies from Mommy and Daddy.  They got Doc McStuffins puzzles.

Audrey found Barbie movies in her goody bag.

Addison was excited about her Word World and Sid the Science Kid movies. (Please excuse the bed head)

Then they dressed for preschool.  Such cuties!

Addison had a blast at her Valentine's party at preschool.

Audrey's class had a fun party as well.

The girls got lots of loot at their class parties.

And made such adorable crafts.

Addison's Big Girl Room

For Addison's 3rd birthday she wanted a "big girl horsey bed".  So I thought it was a great time to redo her room and transform her toddler bed into a "big girl" bed.

Here are a few before photos:

Corey and I sent the girls to Grammy's house for the weekend and got busy cleaning out and redecorating.  It was bittersweet for me...no more "baby" stuff which meant my Little Bit is growing up.  (Too quickly, I might add).

Addison had shown me what comforter set she wanted from Target. She was quite opinionated about it.  Then I found a few other accents to go with it at Hobby Lobby.

I thought it turned out wonderfully.  Even cuter than I envisioned.

After we picked up the girls from Grammy, we brought them home to see the surprise.  (They had no clue that we were redecorating Addison's room)

This was Addison's response when she first saw the room:

I think she loved it!
