Silly Willy

Lately, Audrey has been into 'dressing up'. She will dig through all of her drawers and often has 5-6 layers of clothes on. Or, she might change outfits numerous times a day. Many times her chosen outfits look like this...

Now, isn't that just the cutest?! I can't help but laugh when she comes out of her room wearing some of these items. She thinks she is such a big girl now that she can dress and undress herself.

This is Audrey's new "silly face". Not quite sure where she learned it from, but she considers it to be hiliarious. And rightly so...I giggle each time she does this. I could just eat her up!

Feeding the Baby Calf

Uncle Keith couldn't wait to let Audrey feed a calf that they are bottle feeding. She thought she was such a big helper and wasn't too intimidated by it.

Audrey was even brave enough to pet the sweet calf. Thanks, Mr. Russ for letting her do this. She had so much fun.
And of course, she sweet talked Uncle Keith into playing in the sand with her too.

14 Weeks

I am a couple of days late posting this, but I am now 14 weeks into my pregnancy. Praise the Lord most of the "all day" sickness is gone and I seem to be getting a little more of my energy back.

So far I am doing better and haven't had any more problems. I am praying that things will continue to stay that way.

We don't know the gender yet. We should find that out in about 6 more weeks.

Our little one is definitely showing some now. Most of my regular pants are just tight enough to be a pain, so I figured what the heck, and busted out some of the maternity pants. Those are really helpful when I eat too much :)!

This is what one of the websites says about the baby's growth:

Baby's now the size of a lemon!Your adorable little fetus is busy with thumb sucking, toe wiggling, (not so cute but equally amazing) making urine, and breathing amniotic fluid as the liver, kidneys, and spleen continue to develop. Lanugo (thin, downy hair) is growing all over her body for warmth.

And, you know I couldn't leave you without a picture of my little love bug. She just amazes us every day.

Jack (and Jill) Went Up the Hill...for a Birthday Party

My best friend Anna's youngest child, Jack, had his 2nd birthday party the other day. Audrey was invited and she was 'over the moon' about being able to play with Jack and Will (Anna's oldest child).

Anna and her husband Eddie are in the final stages of building a BEAUTIFUL new house. I thought they were so clever with this birthday theme. The party had a dump truck theme. And they had a dump truck deliver a load of dirt to their new house for the kids to play in (and of course later they will use for landscaping). Now that is just smart!

As you can see the pile of dirt was a big hit! Audrey, my little tomboy, was the only girl there and enjoyed getting dirty just as much as the boys.

She really thought she was "on top of the world" when she was standing on top of this mound. If you will look closely, you can see the "sliding board" she created in the dirt. She would sit on her bottom and slide all the way down, climb back up, and do it all over again.

This is Jack and Audrey checking out the dirt pile together.

And Audrey "digging for treasures" as she said.

She had so much fun! You can see she was hot, dirty and exhausted at the end of the party...but has been asking to go back and play with Will and Jack ever since we left. What fun times with great friends! Of course, I enjoyed getting to spend some time with my best friend too!

Audrey's First Haircut

This past Saturday I took Audrey to have her first haircut. My good friend Brandi was so kind to do this favor for me. Audrey did so well during the haircut. She sat up so tall, like a big girl, in the chair all by herself.

This was Audrey getting ready for her haircut.

The first snip of hair. (Yes, we saved it.)

Audrey is watching Brandi very intently in the mirror.

Thank you, Brandi, for making this day so special!

11 Weeks

I am 11 weeks now. The "morning" (24 hour) sickness is still lingering around, however not quite so severe. To this point I've actually managed to lose a couple of pounds because I haven't been able to keep much down. However, I'm sure I will pack on the pounds soon- and I can guarantee it whenever I have an appetite again :). I'm still tired all the time and have been trying to take it easy as to avoid any more problems.

I go back to the doctor this Thursday and I am hoping and praying that I/and the baby get a good report.

This was our little one at the last ultrasound.

And of course, an 11 week belly shot that many of you requested.

Below is a little information about the size of the baby and what he/she is doing now.

Your fetus currently enjoys a 1:1 ratio between body and head, and has skin so transparent that blood vessels show right through. But, fingers and toes are no longer webbed, and hair follicles, tooth buds and nail beds are forming -- setting up a significantly more attractive future.

Your baby, just over 1 1/2 inches long and is now almost fully formed. Her hands will soon open and close into fists, tiny tooth buds are beginning to appear under her gums, and some of her bones are beginning to harden. She's already busy kicking and stretching, and her tiny movements are so effortless they look like water ballet. These movements will become more frequent as her body grows and becomes more developed and functional.

Last, you know I have to share a picture of my cutie patootie with you too!
