Tons of Summer Fun

This past school year we were blessed to become friends with this precious family.  Lydia was in class with Audrey and her mom is also a teacher at the Preschool. The girls became fast friends and their mom and I developed a friendship.  Another great thing is that they live just down the road from us. So we have enjoyed getting together for play dates this summer.

Addison and Channing

They enjoyed some swim time.

And some swing time.

Ate a yummy lunch followed by popsicles.

These are some cute kiddos right here!  And they get along so well.  We are truly blessed by these friendships!

Beach Photoshoot

When we go to the beach, one of my top priorities is having a photoshoot of my girls on the beach.  This year the weather was beautiful and my precious girls did such a wonderful job for me!

This is one of my all time favorites of my two girls.

Beach Trip ~ Part 3

Wednesday: We spent most of the day at the beach!  Sand, Sun and Fun!

I think she will probably float!

Bathing beauty!

Several nights we went crab hunting.  The girls liked the idea of catching the crabs but they were scared to do it. Addison flipped out when I caught one. Haha.  On our way back to the condo after our crab expedition, we saw a sea turtle come ashore, dig a hole and lay eggs.  It was fascinating!  I knew this would probably be a once in a lifetime event so I was so excited that the girls got to see it too.

Thursday: We ate lunch at LuLu's.

And hit the waves again.  These 2 spent almost the entire time running up on the sand then running back down and jumping into the waves while yelling "CANNONBALL"! Haha! They were quite entertaining!

Friday: The ocean water was so nasty, so I took the girls swimming in the pool while Corey went fishing again.  That evening we at at Tacky Jacks then went out for some ice cream.  We had to make sure to enjoy our last night at the beach.

Saturday: We had to head back home.  The girls cried because they didn't want to leave.  Promises of hermit crabs helped make them feel better.  On the way out of town we stopped and bought them each a hermit crab.

The girls insisted I take their picture inside the shark's mouth.

We had a wonderful, memorable trip.  We all needed that time of relaxation and fun together.  I'm already looking forward to going back!

Beach Trip ~ Part 2

Monday: After the doctor visit and getting medicine, we had lunch then Addison and I laid down so I could try to get her to nap.  Audrey and Corey went out to do a little "fishing" and sightseeing.

I was so glad that Addison slept for almost 4 hours.  When she woke up she was feeling a little better and begged to go to the beach.  Although she wasn't feeling 100% better we took her down to play for a little while.  I was so happy to see that smile!

Audrey had a grand time making sand castles.

Corey helped with the sand castle construction.

We were happy to see a little sun peek out.

We didn't stay out at the beach long since Little Bit was still a little puny, but the girls got enough playtime in to be happy.

Tuesday Morning: Addison woke up smiling and without fever. Hallelujah!  So glad we went ahead and got meds.  So we packed our beach bag and spent the morning at the beach building sand castles and splashing in the waves (a little).  The current was pretty rough.

At lunchtime, we came back inside for lunch and got cleaned up for a dolphin cruise.

We all had a blast!  I was so scared about getting sea sick, but I did ok.

Addison was being silly and making faces at herself in Corey's sunglasses.

The dolphins were really showing off for us!

Lots of smiles from these happy girls!

On our way back in, the crew let the kids on the boat "fish" in the live well where they had stocked some small fish.  All the kids had such fun!

After enjoying our dolphin cruise we went to eat some yummy seafood at Bubba's.
