Halloween 2012

Audrey and Addison enjoyed making these rice krispie pumpkins.  Well, I had to help the out A LOT!  Those little pumpkins were much more messy and difficult than they looked!  But the girls had fun and they turned out pretty yummy.

Then they enjoyed decorating their pumpkins they picked from the pumpkin patch. I found these cute stickers at Target and thought they would have a blast decorating the pumpkins on their own.

We also carved one.  The girls loved the cool color-changing light we put inside.

On the day of Halloween, the girls had dance class so they got to dress up in their costumes and dance. This is Audrey's class. I didn't get a chance to take a picture of Addison's class.

This is Nice Witch Audrey and Little Ladybug Addison with their dance teacher, Miss Molly Brooke.

Nice Witch Audrey and Little Ladybug Addison were preparing for their first Trick-or-Treat stop at Mrs. Becky's house (Audrey's preschool teacher).

After that stop, we went to the Fall Festival hosted by the church where Audrey and Addison attend preschool.

Halloween 2011

This Halloween I had an adorable Ariel (Audrey)....

...And a BUSY little bumble bee (Addison).

I do think they were the most adorable Ariel and bumblebee in this neck of the woods.

We don't usually take them door-to-door knocking on strange people's houses for candy. There is just all kind of crazies out there and I'm not all that fond of finding them. So we usually limit their trick-or-treating to a few family members.

This year we started our trick-or-treating adventure at Aunt Carol and Uncle Jim McGriff's house.

I was a HAPPY mommy because they had fruit for the girls instead of candy! :)

Then we visited Aunt Carolyn. Every year we have gone to her house. She always has something special and wonderful for the girls. Not just regular ol Halloween candy.

The girls love visiting with and loving on her.

Next, we made a stop by the nursing home so Nana could see the girls all dressed up. Audrey and Addison had balloons to give to Nana to brighten her room.

Here is Nana with her two special trick-or-treaters.

Last, we went to the church for their Fall Festival/Trunk-or-Treat. They both enjoyed playing the games and getting LOTS of candy.

I'm fairly certain that the pony ride was the favorite.

Carving Jack-O-Lanterns

During our visit to the pumpkin patch, we picked two perfect pumpkins for us to carve.

The other night we decided it would be a great time to carve them. I took the pumpkins outside for the "cleaning of the guts" because it is just so messy.

Audrey got busy scraping and pulling out the guts. Addison started out with her spoon and dug in...then she felt those guts on her hand. She was NOT happy. She started fussing, threw her spoon down and said "no, no, no". Addison chose not to touch those pumpkins again.

Audrey instructed me on what the faces should look like and I drew the designs on each pumpkin. Corey did the carving since I'm not all that safe with knives. I tend to cut myself often. :/

The pumpkins turned out pretty cute and the kids loved them especially once we got the super-cool lights put inside.

Audrey was so proud of her work. Addison was grumpy because she didn't want any part of taking this photo.

Halloween 2010

I'm finally getting around to putting up the Halloween photos.

I made these tutus for the girls just because I thought they would be cute and wanted some pictures with them.

As you can tell, "Doggie" has to go EVERYWHERE with Audrey.

And here is a picture of my little "pumpkin".

This was Addison's Halloween costume. She was my little lamb. Isn't she just the cutest?! She even wore that on her head the entire night. Can you believe it?

Audrey was our beautiful butterfly. She was so proud of her costume. Isn't she just beautiful?! And growing up so quickly :/

My sweet girls in their costumes. I can't tell you how many pictures I had to take to get both girls looking at me and smiling.

Instead of the standard "Trick or Treating", we took the girls to a Fall Festival that Audrey's preschool/church was hosting.

It was so much fun. The girls loved it!

Audrey enjoyed a little cotton candy.

Seriously?!? What is Halloween without a sugar high? And you gotta love that sticky face :)

Addison was content riding around in the stroller and watching all the action.

Audrey ready to have some fun.

Butterfly turned Cowgirl. She had a blast riding the pony.

Digging for worms is always interesting.

Audrey's trying to win some candy at the ring toss.
That little duckie got Audrey even more candy.

Then she tried her hand at ringing the buckets.

She caught a winner at the "Go Fish".

Working on those golfing skills. Her daddy will be so proud. ;)
They even had a ski-ball game. Audrey hasn't quite got the hang of that game yet. As you can see her little arm is swung back ready to throw. And throw, she did, and nailed that guy standing there right in the wrong place :/ Everyone around thought it was so funny, that poor guy didn't share those feelings...bless his heart.
Finally, Audrey got her face painted.
Not surprising, she wanted a butterfly.
Little Bit and Daddy.

Halloween 2009 (Part 3)

After our morning a the Fall Festival, we met up with one of Audrey's best buds. Miss EG and Audrey love playing together and they are just precious.

Since it was cold and rainy, we opted for lunch at Chick-fil-a so they could play on the indoor playground. Those two kiddos played for about 1 1/2 hours before we headed out. As you can see they enjoyed some ice cream too. Yes, Audrey got some too...Grammy was holding it.

On the way home from Chick-fil-a, Audrey fell asleep in the car so Mom and I just rode around and chatted until Miss Priss woke up.

Then it was time to head out for a little Trick-or-Treating.

Isn't this the most adorable little cow you've ever seen!?! Poor Corey had to miss out on all this fun because he was on shift at the fire station (it seems it always works out that way)...but we did text him a picture of his little cow so he could see her.

First stop was to PawPaw and Nana's house. Nana was very sick with a cold so we just visited right at the door so they could see Audrey. Of course, she got a bag full of goodies from them.

Next stop was Aunt Carolyn's house. She always has some "special" goodies for Audrey. That kid came away from her house with a bag full! While she was at Aunt Carolyn's, she got to play with another of her favorite buddies (also a cousin), Be'la.

After our Trick-or-Treating, I took Audrey to another Fall Festival at our old church, Calvary Baptist in Wetumpka. I was bad and didn't take many photos there...but she had a delightful time. She even played a game where she had to catch a fish with her bare hand...and she did it within about 5 seconds...and she wasn't even scared. I was amazed! She thought it was fascinating! Of course, she had to make several rounds in the blow-up moon walk.

After all this action, Audrey was one tired little girl. All of us had a wonderful time. We just wished Corey could've been there to enjoy it too.
