Easter 2013

It's Easter time!!!
The girls had so much fun dying Easter eggs.  I was pretty proud of myself. This year I only cracked 2 during the boiling process.  Maybe by the time they graduate high school, I will have learned how to boil eggs correctly! LOL!

They were very proud of their eggs!

The Easter Bunny made a stop by our house!!

And the girls were thrilled with their goodies!

Mini-Eggs...my girls are addicted to them, just like their mama!

Our family on Easter.

Grammy and Grandaddy with Audrey and Addison.

Papa Kenny (Corey's dad) and Ms. Marianne.

Our families came over for Easter lunch and fun egg hunts with the girls.

Audrey found a golden egg!

Addison finds some eggs!

"Look what I found!!"

Audrey found so many she had to have 2 baskets to carry them all!

Collecting all the loot from inside the eggs.  Lots of candy and money!

Now for a little playtime...

Addison playing catch with Papa Kenny.

Swinging with Ms. Marianne.

We had such a fun time!  I always look forward to our Easter day with our families.  The weather was perfect, so that was an added bonus to the day.

Easter 2012

We had such a wonderful Easter weekend!
Saturday evening Audrey and Addison dyed eggs. I'm ashamed to admit this, but I had to call my parents for instructions on how to hard boil an egg. I know, right!! I'm 33 years old and I should've known how to do that...but I don't eat boiled eggs so it was never necessary.

Anyway, I did successfully boil a dozen eggs and the girls had a delightful time dying and decorating them.
Easter morning the girls woke up and rushed in to see what the Easter bunny had left for them. Their baskets were overflowing with goodies.
For the first time (ever, I think) we celebrated Easter at our house. Usually Corey is on shift and the girls and I go to my parents house. This year we did things differently.
My parents and Corey's dad and his dad's girlfriend joined us for Easter lunch. We had BBQ, baked beans, slaw, chips, fruit and dessert.

After eveyone got their bellies full, the men hid the eggs while the women and kids waited inside.

Audrey and Addison had an absolute blast! They wanted to hunt eggs over and over again.
Then the girls hid the eggs for the adults to find. I'm not sure who had more fun, the little kids or the grown kids :)

After all the hunting was over, Audrey and Addison had to inspect their loot and indulge in some of the candy.
Before everyone left to go back to their homes, I took a few family photos.
My little family...
Audrey and Addison with Papa Kenny and Marian...
Grammy and Grandaddy with their little chicks...
We all had such a wonderful time. The weather was perfect, the food was great and the company was fantastic. I am looking forward to doing this again next year.

Now, That's Much Better...

No depressing post this time! To make up for the sadness on my last post, here is a post FULL of photos of the 2 cutest little girls ever! (Ok, so I may be biased ;) )

These were the girls' Easter dresses. For once, Audrey actually did well for pictures. As for Addison, that girl would NOT sit still...so there are a limited number of photos that include her :/

Easter 2011

We began our Easter with Audrey decorating Easter Eggs the night before. She enjoyed herself and really did a great job!

Grammy helped her out a little.

Then Easter morning, the girls found that the Easter Bunny had found his way to Grammy and Granddaddy's house to deliver their goodies.

Addison got a kick out of all her loot! Last year she just slept through the whole Easter basket fun. But this year, she got in on the action.

She spotted the candy!

And even shared some with her big sister :)

Next, we got ready for church. We went to my mom's church. We had been there the last several Sunday's off and on so Audrey had been practicing with the Kid's Praise Choir and knew all the songs, so she got to perform with them. She did a great job. We were all so proud of her!

After church, I tried to get a picture of them in their dresses. One didn't want to smile and the other didn't want to sit still :/. Good thing I took some pictures of them in their Easter dresses prior to this day. Those turned out better and I will share later :)

Me and my girls

Then we had an Easter Egg hunt at Grammy's house. We hunted eggs SEVERAL times.

Both girls were so cute finding the eggs. They'd had enough practice, they were getting very good at locating them :)

Look Mom! An Egg!!

Addison was thrilled when she found an egg with money in it...because it made a cool jingling sound.

Uncle Keith helped Audrey find all those well hidden eggs in the "high" places. (He was the one who put them there in the first place).

I think we found them all...but we may be finding forgotten eggs for months to come :)
