Oh Christmas Tree...

Our family always enjoys decorating our tree together. This year was no exception.

Audrey is old enough to be a big help. She hung the majority of the ornaments.

Corey prepared the ornaments for her.

Audrey decorated this adorable pink tree for her room.

She hung the Barbie ornaments that her Aunt Carolyn bought her each year. Along with a few Dora ornaments mixed in.

Addison was facinated by all th lights and shiny glitter on the ornaments.

Audrey loves to have the tree lights on as she falls asleep each night. She loves to look at them...and who can blame her! They are beautiful.

And if Audrey goes missing, I can usually find her playing underneath the tree.

Little Santa's helper being silly...

...and showing off that cute smile...

Addison was our supervisor during the decorating process.

Christmas Tea Party

The first week of December, Audrey was invited to a Christmas Tea Party hosted by a close family friend, Mrs. Debbie. This was Audrey's first official tea party and she was so excited to dress up and go to it. Grammy watched Addison so Audrey and I could have some special Mommy/Daughter time at the tea party.

This is my beautiful girl all dressed up for the tea party.

Mommy and Audrey ready to go.

When we arrived, there was a craft table set up where each little girl decorated a paper bag. This bag was later filled with goodies from the hostess.

Then we walked into the house to find it decorated so beautifully! Each place was set with a real tea cup and saucer. Mrs. Debbie is much braver than I would ever be to have all those breakable items with all those little girls!!!

Audrey sat at her table like such a big girl.

While the little girls were inside having fun, the Mommies and Grandmothers had a special place outside to eat and visit with one another.

Inside the girls listened to stories, enjoyed games and even had a visit from Santa, himself!!!

Audrey became fast friends with some of the bigger girls at the party. They took such good care of her.

Here we are in front of the Barbie Christmas tree. Yes, this tree was entirely decorated with Barbie ornaments. It was just beautiful!

And this is Mrs. Debbie. The sweet lady that hosted this wonderful tea party. I will hold the memories of this day close to my heart. It was a beautiful time to spend with my oldest daughter!

Christmas Parade

Grammy and I took the girls to the Millbrook Christmas Parade. This was Addison's first parade. They both enjoyed waving at all the people.

Having fun watching the parade with Grammy!

My cute little lamb watching all the floats and parade participants.

Getting Into Everything!!

This baby girl is INTO EVERYTHING!! I mean I seriously can't keep up!!!

She loves to spend time playing with these canned drinks. I know I am going to regret allowing this to be one of her favorite activities when one explodes all over the place...but it keeps her entertained for a long time :)

And she loves playing with Audrey's play food for her kitchen. Addison crawled around all day with that chicken leg hanging out of her mouth. I thought it was too funny!

Since she has started table foods and feeding herself, there are many days that I really should hose her off after a meal. Often times, a bath is necessary...as you can tell...

My big girl learning to drink from her sippy cup and eating up some pancakes.

And, in case you needed more evidence, take notice of the dirty clothes basket that she has overturned and was in the process of emptying.

If this isn't a guilty look...I don't know what is!!

Thanksgiving 2010

This year we had so much to be thankful for. Every year I realize that I am blessed beyond measure...but this year was even more important. One thing was we had Addison as a new addition to our family. But another was that my grandfather was around to celebrate with us.

Just a few weeks prior to Thanksgiving, he was hospitalized and things looked very grim. We weren't sure we would have him here with us on earth much longer. But God performed a miracle!

Since Pawpaw was in the nursing home continuing to receive rehab, we decided to bring our Thanksgiving celebration to him. On Thanksgiving day, we (me, Audrey, Addison, my brother-Keith, my mom and my dad) ate lunch with Pawpaw. Corey was on shift that day (as usual) and the McGriffs were out of town with the other side of their family.

The Saturday after Thanksgiving, we all got together again (this time including Corey and the McGriffs) to celebrate. We gathered at the nursing home since it was easier for Pawpaw, and enjoyed some time together.

Audrey enjoyed a book being read by Uncle Jim.

Donald and Linda Scott also joined us for our celebration. They are like family and we love them dearly!
We couldn't let the holiday go by without some family photos.
A few weeks before, I didn't know if I would ever see this again.

Pawpaw loves his girls!
And this picture just makes my heart smile. It is priceless!!!!

The weather was perfect for enjoying a little bubble blowing and ball fun outside.

Pawpaw and Nana enjoyed watching all the fun.

And here is my little Indian, Audrey, dressed up in her costume from preschool. I just had to include it because...well, she is so darn cute! :)

Making Music

Audrey thinks her Aunt Carol and Uncle Jim are super cool! They always do such fun and fascinating things with her.

For instance, Uncle Jim was so kind to risk his guitar just so she could play it. He actually helped her play a few songs. Aunt Carol was there as their backup singer. :)

Let's hope they can share some of their musical talent with her...because she sure won't be getting any from her Mommy or Daddy :(
